So a couple of weeks ago I ordered the Nvidia GTX 260 for a pretty good deal on NewEgg.com. $180 plus tax/shipping and it came with 2 games, Call of Duty: World at War and Farcry 2. I’m a big fan of the Call of Duty series and I play COD4 and 5 on PS3 pretty often, so I had to install COD on PC since I do prefer mouse/kb over controller when it comes to FPS. I also picked up the G9 gaming mouse since I was using a basic wireless kb/mouse. Needed a good mouse for FPS

Anyways, I had to install 4 update files from the links and mirrors given from http://www.callofduty.com/supplies/pc-updates. I was surprised there wasn’t just an official link that was given we can download the patches from or that the game didn’t automatically update like other games do. It was kind of a hassle to dig through the links, which some were either broken or required registration in either to download the file from file hosting sites. I didn’t want to have to register for anything, but I finally came across this page. And after finally downloading the 4 update files (which aren’t really that fast), installed them and finally I was playing online.

I put together the update files and created a torrent out of them and uploaded the torrent on to Demonoid (registration closed) so that users can just download the torrent instead of having to dig through those mirror links I explained earlier. So far I only have a few seeders, but hopefully it grows and more ppl continue to seed for a while after downloading.
